What Customers Say

★★★★★

"Carried this for 2,650 miles on the PCT. Set it up 126 nights. Never a tear, never a broken carabiner. The bug net saved my sanity in Oregon. Best 18 oz in my pack."

★★★★★

"Bought this for car camping and ended up using it in the backyard more than the tent. My kids fight over it. The 90-second setup claim is real — I timed it."

"Bought 8 for our troop. The kids abused these things — dragged them through mud, set them up wrong, overloaded them. All 8 still going strong after a year. Only giving 4 stars because I wish it came in more colors."

★★★★★

"Never set up a hammock before. Watched the one-minute video on the trailrest site and had it up in 2 minutes on my first try. Slept better than in my bed at home. The flat diagonal lay is a game changer."

Why We Made the Camping Hammock

After testing dozens of options and finding every one lacking something critical — too heavy, too small, no bug net, straps sold separately — we decided to build the one we actually wanted to carry. Here's the full design story.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to buy anything else to use this hammock?
Nope. Everything is in the stuff sack — hammock, two tree straps, two carabiners, and the bug net (built into the hammock). Find two trees 10-15 feet apart and you're good to go.
What's the weight limit really?
We rate it at 500 lbs conservatively. The 210T parachute nylon has a tensile strength of over 1,000 lbs in lab conditions. The weak point is actually the tree straps (rated 1,000 lbs each), not the hammock. We've had two adults + a 60 lb dog with no issues.
Will this work in cold weather?
The hammock itself is uninsulated (like all camping hammocks). In temperatures below 60°F, you'll want an underquilt or sleeping pad for bottom insulation. The bug net does add a few degrees of warmth by trapping a micro-layer of still air.
How do I wash it?
Hand wash in cold water with mild detergent. Hang dry — never put it in a dryer. The nylon will last for years if you keep it out of direct sunlight when stored. Don't use bleach or fabric softener.
Can I use this indoors?
Yes! Many customers use it as a permanent bed replacement. You'll need a hammock stand or wall-mounted anchor points rated for the load. The included tree straps work with most hammock stands.
How does the 30-day return work?
If you're not satisfied for any reason, email us within 30 days of delivery. We'll send a prepaid return label. Once we receive the hammock (in any condition), we issue a full refund. No restocking fee, no questions.
